Federal Tax Forms

FREE OPTIONS to obtain tax products, tax preparation, and help with filing tax returns include:

  • Download Forms and Instructions online at IRS.gov
  • Visit an IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center, participating libraries and U.S. Post Offices.
  • Individuals making $50,000 or less can use the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for free tax preparation and, in many cases, free electronic filing.
  • Individuals aged 60 and older can take advantage of free tax counseling and basic income tax preparation through Tax Counseling for the Elderly.
  • IRS Free File provides options for free brand-name tax software or online fillable forms plus free electronic filing. For more information, visit IRS Free File on IRS.gov (available after 1/17/12)
  • You can request that the form be mailed to you through the IRS toll-free number,
    800-829-3676.

our branches (call ahead to check availability).   

The IRS no longer mails tax forms to individuals
or businesses.  In 2012, Post Offices and
participating libraries (like ours) will be the main
distribution points for Federal tax forms/instructions.

Ohio Benefit Bank

File Your Taxes for Free and Keep Your Whole Refund!

The Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB) is an Internet service that is available for Ohioans who are in need of help. Most households that make under $60,000 can file their state and federal taxes for free with The Benefit Bank and receive their refunds in 14 days or less. You can file online with no fees or other charges.  Go to the  OBB website for a self-serve filing program or to find a local site. The OBB project has been funded at least in part with Federal funds from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.



Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition

Do you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit?

The Cuyahoga Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition is a local group that is funded by the Cuyahoga County Commissioners that does free income tax preparation for anyone who qualifies for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). The EITC is a refundable tax credit available to working adults (without children– earning up to $14,120; those with families of at least two children– earning up to $38,348).
