The Lesser Known Effects of Back Pain

Adam Friedman will discuss the lesser known effects of back pain and how it plays a role in the area of health maintenance, while addressing several of today’s current health issues and concerns. Friedman will share many insights about the role chiropractic/alternative health care plays in restoring health, based on current research, while using modern technology as a tool.  Registration required.

Mission Possible: Exploring the Titanic

Discover the Titanic from a shipwreck explorer’s perspective.  Join Jim Paskert, from the Cleveland Underwater Explorers (CLUE), as he discusses both the ship and the wreck, as well as the connections and comparisons to some of the historic wrecks of the Great Lakes.  Registration required.

About the North Royalton Branch

Located approximately a half-mile south of the intersection of State and Royalton Roads in Memorial Park, the North Royalton Branch Library is an integral part of the local community.  Originally established in 1945 and currently housed in a 16,500 square foot building constructed in 1978, the library was home to over 92,000 books, almost 38,000 audiovisual items while circulating 779,314 items in 2011.  The branch offers a wide array of books & AV items, sixteen Internet stations, a variety of programs for all ages, and a pair of community meeting rooms.

Need help learning to speak English?  The Polaris Career Center ABLE Program offers free beginning, intermediate and advanced-level drop-in English instruction classes for adults at the North Royalton branch.  Spring sessions conclude May 30.  For more information, please call 440-891-7647.

The local chapter of the North Royalton Friends of the Library was organized on September 18, 1961 at the branch's original storefront location – the Bennett Road building.  A steering committee of five local citizens was appointed by Ms. Liona Stevens, the librarian at the branch.
