About the Middleburg Heights Branch

The Middleburg Heights Branch is part of the city's campus of buildings – which includes City Hall and the Community Center – all conveniently located near Interstate 71. The branch is situated at the edge of a tree-lined parkway, and the surrounding landscape provides a serene setting for visitors.

The Children's Room at the Middleburg Heights Branch is named for E.B. White, the popular author of Charlotte's Web, Stuart Little, and other children's books. White not only gave his consent and approval, but sent various memorabilia connected with his writings. These are permanently displayed in the library.

Middleburg Friends image

The original Friends of the Middleburg Library group formed in the fall of 1966 to help show support for a new library. This included issuing "Friends of the Library" cards at the annual Labor Day community picnic. The Friends group continues today, made up of area residents who wish to support their local public library and help realize the library's potential as a dynamic community resource.

The Friends meet on the first Wednesday of every other month at 7:00 PM. Since the first Wednesday of July is the 4th of July holiday, the Friends will meet on the second Wednesday, July 11, at 7:00 PM.
